Quick Rip-Pack #21 of 1997 Pinnacle X Press!

Okay, in an effort to keep this train in motion, here are a few quick updates… The Marlins, Padres and Braves are now spoken for in the NEXT box break…This still leaves the Indians, White Sox, Dodgers, Tigers, Twins, Reds, Mariners and a bunch of other teams available, act now!
Okay, here is the 21st pack of 1997 Pinnacle X Press in super quick mode…Here we go!
#136 Deivi Cruz Detroit Tigers (The thing I remember most about Deivi was he was a swinger (minds out of gutter please) and I looked it up, 22 walks was his career high-about a dozen walks per year was about average… He finished 4th in the ROY vote in ’97)
#55 Kevin Appier Kansas City Royals (I really hope someone picks the Royals this time around because 3 different mid-90s cards of Kevin Appier is already more than I can handle)
#17 Ken Hill Texas Rangers
#102 Kevin Brown Florida Marlins
#??? Tony Clark Detroit Tigers Swing for the Fences Game Card
#88 Mo Vaughn Boston Red Sox (The Hit Dog followed his MVP year in 1995 with an even better year in ’96. Just take a look at the BotC- it gives his month by month breakdown, Dude hit .396 with 12 homers in May, he finished up hitting .326 with 44 homers and 143 RBI and didn’t lead the league in anything…Talk about the Year(s) of the Slugger…)
#85 Bobby Higginson Detroit Tigers (In 1997 Higgy hit .299 with 27 homers and 101 RBI and no one noticed…)
#141 Ivan Rodriguez Peak Performers Texas Rangers (With 14 All Star games and 13 Gold Gloves does Pudge need 3000 hits to go to the Hall on his first ballot?)
Okay, there ya go… Only 15 more packs of this to go, I am gonna blast through these as quick as I can… Oh, and for the record, this is two straight packs without a Brave! Thanks for reading! Troll out!

  1. How appropriate to have "Green Hill" in the background on the Hill card. And dear, sweet Pudge goodness...I'm a happy fan of this pack.

  2. Pudge is easily a first ballot HoFer. If Robi Alomar almost made it in the first time, then I-Rod should be voted in twice during his first year of eligibility!

  3. I'll take the Indians.

OK, now I'll go read the rest of the post to see what I just signed up for.
