Good morning and Happy Easter Trollites! Not too much time right now, today is a pretty busy day for us here at All Charities and I will be here ALL DAY and NIGHT. Anyway, I brought a box of cards with me to sort and make want lists, I also brought an old flash drive that I haven't searched in a while. I was hoping to find some cool cards of catchers to post on the Nitty Gritty.

While scanning the drive I found this random card from 1989 Topps. It is card #269 of Boston Red Sox left-handed pitcher
Tom Bolton. No relation to Michael that I could find. Anyway, Tom spent 13 seasons in the Boston organization and won 21 games for the Red Sox from 1987-'92.

His best year came in 1990 when he went 10-5 with 4 complete games for Boston. He had an amazing record at home going 6-1 with a 1.99 ERA at Fenway that year. That isn't why I am posting this card. I am sure I am not the first blogger to put this one up and I apologize to anyone who beat me to the punch, but I couldn't resist. I mean there is a
freaking ferris wheel behind him! Go Rays! Troll out.
I immediately thought of Michael when I saw the title of this post. I took my wife to see him on a New Year's Eve many moons ago. That was the concert from h*ll.
ReplyDeleteThat isn't a ferris wheel. It is a large farm machine. He barely escaped with his life.
Reading the post, I thought, "I really hope he mentions the ferris wheel."
ReplyDeleteThank you.
He looks a little sad, like his parents just told him it was time to go home and he's thinking, But I haven't ridden the ferris wheel yet!!
