He hooked me up with a ton of stuff including the Duke Snider and Frank Robinson cards to finish off this page. I hope to post all of the Rays goodness he shipped my way soon. For now, enjoy a reprinted sample from each year from 1952-1960. I would LOVE to own any one of these amazing cards. I kinda wish that Topps had included Clemente and Aaron in this, but that is my only complaint. This filled page looks GOOD! Thanks so much to Peterson and everyone else who helped me fill this one up. My want lists for this set are up to date. For this set, I still need these cards: 13,14,20,24,27,29,31,37,39,42,43,44,51,52,54,55,56 and 57. #13 and 14 would be my Most Wanted as that would fill up another awesome page. Get in touch if you can help a Troll out. Don’t forget to check out a Pack to be Named Later. I have a ton of wax I will be ripping over there. Today’s pack is 1985 Topps Super. They are big! Oh, as a reminder. All of the stuff I rip on a PTBNL goes into the team piles for the group break, so you should really check it out. Go Rays! Troll out.

The Joy of a Completed Page-2 of Them!
For set collectors there is nothing better than finishing off a complete page from a set that you have been hunting. Well, this weekend I emptied the contents of 2 separate packages I received last week into my 2010 Topps binder.
Actually, I didn’t put all of the cards in the binder, but I did put away the Legendary Lineage inserts that I got last week from Play at the Plate and the Great Orioles Autograph Project. LL is a 30-card set which spans 3 and a half pages and 2 of those pages are COMPLETE! Thanks so much to Brian and Ryan both. 2 more cards and that set is finished.
If you Legendary Lineage cards # 17 or 18, please get in touch! I am going to binder up the rest of the 8 pounds of 2010 Topps inserts that I recieved from Play at the Plate now... This could result in more Complete Pages and the Joy that comes from them... Stay tuned! Go Rays! Troll out.

The Joy of a Completed Page OF SHORT PRINTS!!!
I thought I would take a brief break from talking about 2010 Topps to write about 2008 Topps, Allen and Ginter. I was late to this party and didn’t rip any until just a few months ago, but my luck has been great and the set is getting very close. I received an amazing package from Democratic Roadkill featuring all kinds of goodies including the final cards on my A&G want list to finish off the set. Well, it turns out that the list wasn’t accurate-someone said they were sending something and it never got to me. Last night I thought I was done with this one, but after putting the new cards away I see that I am close, but not there yet… I am feeling the joy of about 25 completed pages, but more importantly I am feeling the joy of a completed page of short prints! Yep, cards #327-335 are mine! I am 100% done with the fifty United State cards.
I am also the new owner of a whole bunch of minis and World’s Greatest Victories cards. Anyway, here is the completed page and here is what I need to finish the remainder of the pages: 43,55,83,95,238,305,315,318,320,341 and 348. I say this often, but THANKS DUANE!!! You rock! The cards were absolutely amazing. Pitchers and catchers report TOMORROW! That means I will probably be bumping into Matt Wieners and Zach Duke at 7-11. Up next: more trades, my first Carl Crawford card from 2010, more 2010 Topps, 3 from 3s and cards of the day... Go Rays! Troll out.

THE TROLL IS BACK and bringing The Joy of a Completed Page!
I am back people...
And I am here to show off another completed page, this one comes from 2009 Topps Updates and Highlights. I had exactly zero finished pages in the U and H binder, but I just received a package from Jeremy from No One’s Gonna Read This Blog which included 23 cards I needed for the set and I put them to good use and finished off 12 different pages. Considering there are only 37 pages in the binder, I am doing pretty good…
If you have any doubles from this series, you can find my want list right HERE. On that topic, I finally got my hands on 2010 Topps and will post on them later tonight. By the by, the Troll is back! I am a little worse for wear, battered and bruised and I am rolling without a car, but I am alive and blogging again. Thanks to EGNJ for filling in and emptying out the queue and keeping the Collective Troll and Nitty Gritty Blogs alive. Huge thanks to Cards on Cards and No Ones Gonna Read This Blog for hooking it up U and H style! Go Rays! Troll is back and he is out!

The Joy of a Completed Page-80 of Them!
Nothing is better than completing a page! As it turns out these pages complete the set. I am now the proud owner of a complete 2008 Topps Heritage Set #1-720.
It has been a LONG journey and it feels good to be done! Wilson Betemit was the final SP for the High #s series and he came from Jeff D, Frank Thomas was the king of the elusive SPs and lived at the top of my most wanted list. Reader Tony sent him to me.
Thanks to everyone who helped out with this set. IT IS DONE!! This is the 4th set I have finished just joining the blog-o-sphere. Go Rays! Troll out.

The Cure for a Crappy Day!
Well, I didn’t make my goal of finishing the group break by Wednesday (yesterday), the combination of 4 hours of school per day and a 20 hour (unexpected) shift last night kinda killed it… I posted up the entries for the caption contest-personally I thought they were pretty funny… There are still a few hours left to vote, so get on that… Anyway, it hasn’t been a great week for me. Both of my professors are AMAZING so I can’t complain too much about that. I can complain about dropping 400 bucks on books after spending a total of 6 hours in line at the bookstore over the past 3 days. Not cool. I can bitch about my car-spent all day on Tuesday fixing a problem only to have something new pop up. The car only has 200K miles on it, why all the problems? Since I am in a need money situation more shifts at work are nice, but sometimes I just want to go home after 10 hours and a horrible night-couldn’t do that last night… I have a few stories to share with y’all sometime soon. Crazy drama, violence and nonsense at work, plus the same at the post office… Speaking of the post office-my crap week got a ton better when I chugged in to check my box this morning after class. I had 2 packages waiting for me from 2 of my favorite people in the entire blog-o-sphere: Brian from Play at the Plate and Ed of Roll out the Barrel. Both of them sent some pretty great stuff, but I am going to point out a highlight from each of them now cuz there are about 30 packages ahead of them in line. First off, both of them sent me a bunch of cards from the 2009 Topps Heritage High Numbers series… I scanned a few cards (thanks neighbor Amanda!) for later posts, but to show off the 50 or so cards I scratched off my list best, here is my first completed page from Heritage High! I have 7 pages with 8 cards on them, but nothing a COMPLETED PAGE!!!
Ed from RotB stuffed his envelope with Heritage and 2008 Allen and Ginter (base, SPs and State cards) goodness which ended up finishing off 3 more A&G pages, but most importantly he hooked it up with card #340 (SP) of Carl Crawford!
I’m gonna end up needing a total of 3 of these, 1 for the set, 1 for the PC and 1 for the team set, but right now I am pretty psyched to have one for the set. I don’t know what it is, but CC looks like a jockey in this pic to me. That may have been the only Rays card in the package from Ed (definitely a first!) but he continues to beef up my Brian Roberts collection. Even though it is a boring white swatch, I REALLY like this ShOwcase Stitches card from 2006 Flair Showcase.
Thanks Ed! Moving on to a few hits from Play at the Plate… Brian stuffed his offering chock full of Rays, Roberto Clemente cards, Scott Kazmir and Jonny Gomes in their evil new uniforms and a great card of Hall of Famer Ray Dandridge. Yesterday Mike from JDs Wild Cardz did a post on “Elusive Treasure Cards”. I commented that mine was a 1953 Satchel Paige because that is the ONE single card I have ALWAYS coveted, but never attained. These would be second on the list I think…
I would prefer if the cards were on the verge of retirement, but I’m not gonna complain about these one bit. Roberto Clemente will ALWAYS be my favorite player. Brian did sent quite a few throwback cards, but there was some shiny new stuff in there as well.
Here are 2 Heritage High numbered chrome Rays cards for your viewing pleasure. I can’t get enough of these cards, seriously… I don’t know if they put Gabe Gross in the Chrome set or not, but if they did he would be the LONE card I need to finish the team set off, low and high both. Thanks so much to Ed and Brian!!! You guys rock, hopefully I will revisit your envelopes again, but who knows… Hope y’all have a similar “day improver” waiting for you, too. Go Rays! Troll out.

The Joys of 3 Completed Pages... Thanx Beardy!!!
Good Morning Trollites! Taking a quick breather from the group box break to show off 3, count em 3 completed pages...Here's the story, the quick version: After having so much fun tearing up the last hobby box of 2008 Allen and Ginter (Thanks Duane!) I posted these hits along with my want list to finish off the set.
The legendary Bearded Blogger was the first to answer the call and he sent me 28 cards towards total set annihilation…
The result was 3 more completed pages, oh the joy!
Thanks Beardy! If anyone else wants to lend a helping hand, my current needs list is here, I am 18 cards away.... Thanks for looking. Oh, if anyone is interested the caption contest is closed, I got a total of 15 entries (way more than expected) between emails and comments and since a very important free slot iin the group break is on the line, I will post 6 (maybe more) of the best and leave it to a 1-day (anonymous poll) vote of the blog-o-cracy. If you didn't enter, feel free to post one here. You won't get in the contest, but I know tomorrow will be a bad day and I could use a laugh early in the morn... Troll out.

2008 Allen and Ginter-Completed Page!!!!!!!!
I love completed pages… This is the first of several pages featuring 9 different cards from the 2008 Allen and Ginter set… I didn’t rip any of this product in ’08, but fell in love with it after I finished the ’09 set and now thanks to Duane of Democratic Roadkill I am 80% finished with this awesome set!!! I have a few more finished pages to show off and a bunch of single cards, too. I need only 70 cards to finish the set, only 12 short prints… THANKS DUANE!!!!!! YOU ROCK MY FRIEND!!! More on this set to come… We will return to the group break in the morning, I apologize for the interruption, but finishing a page is HUGE and I had to share with the Blog-O-Sphere! Troll out.

Stolen Post Title: The Joy of a Completed Page...
In an effort to steal a page (ha!) from the Cardboard Junkie’s “Joy of a Completed Page” series, here is my version. The joy of having pages… These 15-up pages came all the way from Missouri courtesy of Madding of Cards on Cards fame. Dedicated Trollites may remember back in October when I finished the 2009 Allen and Ginter Hoodwinks, Hoaxes and Bamboozles mini set after a whole bunch of help from Duane of Democratic Roadkill. Now the set is in the binder with the regular set, 1-350, the National Pride Set and the Sketch cards set. Thanks Madding! These 15-up pages are awesome! By the way... With all of these fancy new pages I have been paging and bindering up all of my minis and getting together my wants list for Rays team sets for 2007-2009 Allen and Ginter minis, plus Goodwins, too. If anyone has a regular or black bordered mini (or both) of Carl Crawford from this years Goodwins-I could use 'em! I am also still searching for regular (Goodwins) minis of Shields and Longoria and regular backed minis (Allen and Ginter) of Crawford, Kazmir and Aki. I still need full sized 2009 Ginter cards of Aki (222), Kazmir (203) and Navarro (325). Okay, enough begging for now. I still haven't heard from any Rockies collectors either, perhaps we need to up the ante? I love this hobby, troll out.I love this hobby, troll out.
