The Group Break, Whats at Stake-84 Packs are Ready to Rip!!!!
Okay, before I get into posting pack 3 of 1993 Topps Stadium Club Series 3 I wanted to show you all what else we are ripping for this break. It started out as a two-box break, but I did promise if we filled all of the slots that I would bust open something else as a bonus. You, the blog-o-sphere responded and filled it all up, so I went shopping. I couldn’t find anything at the flea market (sometimes there is a junk wax guy there) and struck out the first place I went. The second shop I went to didn’t have any junk wax (in his opinion) but I made him an offer on the oldest box he had sitting there. He still had it priced at 55dollars (I didn’t pay that) and it had a little bit of dust on it accordingly. I just wanted to update y’all on what we will be ripping. All of the boxes are in house and ready to rip. There will be a total of 72 packs being split up into teams for 27 different collectors. I’ve already shown the ’93 Stadium Club. We also have 1994 Pinnacle Series 2. These have 14 cards per pack and I think there are 24 packs in the box. 1994 was the first year (I think) were card companies went insert crazy. Pinnacle had its patented 4-Tier Chase Program which featured Team Pinnacle, Artist’s Proof Set, Museum Collection and Special Rookie Cards. The odds are Museum Collection parallel, 1:4 packs. Artist Proof parallel 1:26 packs. Team Pinnacle is 1:90 packs and the special rookie cards are 1:360, a case hit. The third box, late addition, is also from Pinnacle Brands. It is 1997 Pinnacle Xpress. These packs have 8 cards in each, 36 packs per box. Mark McGwire is pictured on the pack, so that should give you an idea on the era. I should also say that Pinnacles slogan was "guaranteed scarce". Funny. They were priced on the pack at $1.99 per pack and the SRP on the box WAS $69.99 13 years ago. These are really crazy with the inserts and parallels. There are 7 different available. The odds are: Swing for the Fences player card and booster cards, 1:2. Men of Summer, 1:7. Far and Away, 1:19, Melting Pot are 1:288 packs, Metal Works Silver Redemption are 1:470 and gold redemption are 1:950. I am gonna hope we don’t pull any redemptions. Anyway, this is what we are ripping. Hope everyone is happy with the selection. I ordered a couple of boxes online and plan to do this again in January so start saving your Heritage SPs, Carl Crawford cards and 60’s Topps if you want a spot! I will be back to ripping shortly. Let me know what you think of these products. This will give us a total of 84 packs to rip, 960 cards to split up. I had planned on putting each card in a penny sleeve, but I can't bring myself to buy 10 bucks worth of penny sleeves. The scanned card from each pack will be sleeved and I will ship them safely in team set bags. Enjoy. The next pack I post will be Pinnacle XPress, I am kind of excited to see it. Troll out.
