Colorado Rockies Fan Wanted-Reward Offered, Inquire Within

Notice the title didn’t say Rockies fans-I only need to find one. I have had great luck finding team collectors to trade with who follow nearly every team in MLB. I am still looking to find collectors for three different teams-the Pittsburgh Pirates, Oakland A’s and the Colorado Rockies. I am not too worried about the Pirates because they do their spring training in the town I live in and there are always kids at the camp who love free cards, but the other two teams… It was only a couple of months ago that I filled boxes and sent them to Children’s Hospitals in Denver and Oakland. That felt good and I actually received a hand written thank you letter from 3 different kids, so I think I will continue to do that myself. I do think that in order to keep the Blog-O-Sphere self sufficient it is important that we have traders for every team, so if there is a Rockies fan out there who is willing to come forward, these 2 cards (and whatever other Rockies cards I might have) are yours, free of charge. There is a catch though. You have to be willing to trade with other bloggers in exchange for Rockies cards. The Rockies were a pretty exciting team this year, they are competitive each year and aren’t far removed from the World Series, and surely they have fans that collect cards, right? Comment here if you want these 2 cards, but only if you are willing to take on more Rockies cards from a number of people. Oh, these two cards... The first is a Starquest RARE from 2008 Upper Deck of Troy Tulowitzki and the other is from 2008 Allen and Giner-a jersey relic of Brad Hawpe. Please comment or email me at bacontowne at yahoo dot com. Thanks! I love this network, I love this hobby! Troll out.

  1. Oh, man, if you find a Rockies collector, the whole blogosphere is never going to leave him alone. (Don't worry brave Rockies collector: that's a GOOD thing).

  2. haha as I once told Beardy, I'm almost tempted to be the token Rockies collector just to see what goods I would get. That said, I would also have to like the Rockies, and I can think of at least 10-15 teams I like over them so...notsomuch. I hope someone comes out of the woodwork though!

  6. I like that there are five (now six) comments on here and not a single Rockies collector.

  7. Let's set a timetable. If no true Rockies fan comes forward by January 1st, 2010, I will bear the burden of Rockies collector blogger guy temporarily until the real deal finally emerges. I am a die-hard Cubs fan, but the Rockies do reside near the top of the list of other teams I hold in fairly high regard, so I can willingly take the job of accepting the blogosphere's unwanted Rockies cards for awhile at least. :)

  8. I must confess...i am a Rockies collector, well actually a Troy Tulowitzki collector. I have no problems taking on the Rockies as a team to collect. It may make collecting fun again!
